FAQ

What does the WARDOGS Early Access roadmap include?
Bulkhead has confirmed: more maps, more weapons including entirely new weapon categories, more vehicles including fighter jets, new objective types, deeper progression, a stronger seasonal metagame, the Black Market and Vault, and a Player Skills and Challenge system. Community servers ship with the launch build — announced in the September 8 dev post with three approved hosting partners.
How long will WARDOGS stay in Early Access?
One to two years, per the developer. The price is lower during Early Access and will rise at the 1.0 full release.
Are the Black Market and Vault in the game at launch?
No. Bulkhead has explicitly described them as Early Access roadmap features being built after launch. Day one ships the cash-and-XP economy, not player-to-player arms trading.
Will fighter jets be added to WARDOGS?
Jets are named on the official roadmap as a future vehicle addition during Early Access. No arrival date has been given.
Are these roadmap numbers and dates final?
No dates have been attached to any roadmap item, and BULKHEAD has said it will not publish ambitious roadmaps or bold promises during Early Access — treat every feature here as confirmed to exist, timing pending. We will annotate each item with its build number as it ships.

What ships on day one versus what is on the roadmap?

On September 10, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, WARDOGS launches into Steam Early Access with its core loop complete: the 100-player three-faction Control Zone mode, multiple large maps with dynamic objective zones, the cash-and-XP economy, vehicles, logistics, building, and proximity voice chat. Everything on this page is what Bulkhead has publicly committed to building during Early Access, not what is in the box at launch. For whether day one is worth it, see the release date and pricing page and the ten reasons not to buy counterweight.

What is the Black Market and when does it arrive?

The Black Market is the headline metagame item: player-to-player arms trading with Arms Dealers, Wagers, Businesses, Manufacturer Buyouts, mid-match reselling via supply crates, and a capped upgradeable Vault for storing purchased items. None of it ships on launch day — Bulkhead has explicitly described these systems as Early Access roadmap features. The full mechanics breakdown, with every caveat about what is confirmed versus pending, lives on the Black Market page; the economy you actually play on September 10 is described in the money guide.

What are Player Skills and Challenges?

Announced alongside the Black Market in the official “Early Access & Beyond” communication, the Player Skills & Challenge system is the second pillar of the planned metagame. Bulkhead has named it but not yet detailed it — no numbers, no structure, no release window. Until it ships, the confirmed in-game progression is the level and unlock track covered on the XP tracks and unlocks page. We will expand this section the moment the developer publishes specifics.

Will community servers come to WARDOGS?

They are in the launch build. The September 8 dev post “The 11th Reason NOT to Buy WARDOGS” officially announced community-server hosting through three approved partners — QONZER, BisectHosting, and xREALM — with server rentals on sale before launch and admins able to instantly ban bad actors. The Season 1 changelog carries the in-game side: server-browser filtering was reworked, community-server image scaling was fixed, and a “Host a server” button now links straight to the hosting page. For a game built around hour-long 100-player matches, adminned community servers are the item most likely to reshape the competitive scene; the factions guide describes the meta as it exists under official matchmaking today.

What new vehicles are coming — including jets?

Fighter jets are the named headline. The roadmap also lists broader vehicle expansion during Early Access; the current roster — helicopters, Humvees, and the rest of the launch set — is catalogued on the vehicles guide. Jet flight models in a game whose existing air gameplay is transport-and-door-gunning would be a genuine new layer, which is likely why Bulkhead has not attached a date to them.

What new weapons and weapon categories are planned?

Beyond more individual guns, the roadmap explicitly promises new weapon categories — not just additions inside the existing classes. The launch-day arsenal and its cash costs are on the weapons list; when a new category ships we will add it there with observed pricing.

How will we track what actually ships?

This page is the index; the detail pages do the tracking. As each roadmap item goes live, the corresponding page — Black Market, weapons, vehicles — gets updated with the live build’s real numbers, and the table above flips to “shipped.” Every build’s changes are logged on the patch notes page as each season and hotfix lands. During the final pre-launch window the beta was opened to everyone (the September 3–6 closed beta was converted to an open beta on September 5 for server stress-testing), so a large population has already seen exactly what day one contains — none of the remaining roadmap items above were in it.
